daaaancing. here at ma'am we love us some dancing. dance parties have a certain stereotype.. which for the most part is true. all of the things you would think of pertaining to a dance party is all too true, and so funny. dance parties can be the worst thing to attend or the best thing to attend, depending on what youre looking for. ma'am's version of a dance party... well its just great. may i suggest trying this next time you go out dancing... go with just one or two of your friends, it keeps things more personal and its easier to keep track of everyone. dance the ENTIRE time... never ever just stand there and look around like youre too cool to dance. dont even make me tell you that this is not ok. do whatever you want, dont think about your moves or if you look like an idiot. chances are you do, and so does everyone else there..either that or you look like more of an idiot standing there not moving at all. just let your mind go and move your body, trust me... its more relaxing than yoga.. and more fun than the downward facing dog. jump on stage; really its not as bad at you think, and its easier to breath up there out of the crowds. study dj's. make sure you know who the dj is that will be spinning at the dance you are attending, this can make or break your experience. dress normal, no need to dress up or dress slutty, melissa actually prefers cardigans at most parties, doing this will make you feel comfortable. make your way around the room, changing spots can really create a better time, you dont want to be stuck in one spot the whole time with the same scenery. switch things up. try these things, i pretty much guarantee you will have more fun that you have previously. trust us, we have the experience.

disclaimer: if you are going out dancing looking for dudes (or members of the opposite sex) you probably shouldn't ask melissa and i for advice. we mostly avoid that at all costs, these tips and pointers are just for having a genuine good time at a dance party. if thats not what your looking for.. you might want to hit up studio 600's white out, or neon dances.
